What is Buyist? Do I need it for Auware?

Buyist is a modern eCommerce platform built for performance marketers. You do not need Buyist to use Auware, which connects to either Shopify or Buyist with the same functionality.

Buyist is a modern eCommerce platform designed for performance marketers. Buyist launched in 2013 as Mojo, rebranded as Buyist in 2022, and was used by 43 of the top 50 direct response television advertisers in 2024.

Buyist was purpose-built to help brands achieve higher conversion rates by focusing on speed, simplicity, and marketing effectiveness. The Buyist team has powered over $2B in eCommerce sales since 2013 and has averaged conversion rates of around 8% across hundreds of direct-to-consumer brands running over 5,000 DTC eCommerce websites.

Auware was created by the Buyist team using that experience. Many of the best practices and insights that went into building Buyist also shaped the design of Auware. However, you do not need Buyist in order to use Auware. Auware works as an app that connects to either Shopify or Buyist, and you can even connect it to both if you manage multiple stores across platforms. The functionality of Auware is the same no matter which platform you use.

To summarize, Buyist is a powerful eCommerce platform that inspired Auware, but you do not need Buyist to take advantage of what Auware offers. If your store runs on Shopify, Auware integrates seamlessly there as well.
