Are you going to blow up my Shopify theme and the customizations I’ve made?

Auware will not touch your Shopify theme or customizations. It uses Shopify-native methods, leaves your files untouched, and keeps your store exactly as it is while adding new landing pages.

Absolutely not.

Auware is designed to work alongside your existing Shopify store without interfering with your theme, templates, or customizations. Many agencies spend considerable time and effort tailoring a store to meet their clients’ needs. This often includes custom-designed themes, script injections for tracking or personalization, layout adjustments, third-party app integrations, and complex styling work. We know that the last thing you want is an app that disrupts those investments.

Auware avoids these issues by never touching your existing theme or editing your live pages. When Auware creates audience-specific landing pages, it publishes them as independent entities within Shopify. They are not inserted into your navigation or sitemap, they do not overwrite your PDPs, and they do not alter your theme files. Your existing storefront continues to look and function exactly as it did before installing Auware.

For example, if your store uses a custom theme with specialized product templates, advanced styling, or JavaScript-based features, those remain untouched. If you have added custom tracking scripts, analytics tools, or third-party integrations, Auware does not interfere with them. Even common agency-driven enhancements like cart drawer modifications, sticky headers, or upsell widgets are left exactly as they are. Auware’s footprint is completely separate.

From a technical perspective, Auware relies on Shopify-native structures such as meta objects and app proxies. These allow us to store and deliver content without modifying your theme code or inserting global script tags. Meta objects provide a clean and isolated way to associate data with your store, while app proxies allow us to capture campaign interactions securely through Shopify’s own routing. This ensures that Auware is fully compliant with Shopify’s best practices for app development and minimizes the risk of conflict.

We also designed the uninstall process to be clean. If you ever remove Auware, all of its meta objects, campaign data, and API permissions are deleted automatically. Unlike some apps that leave behind liquid code snippets, unused templates, or orphaned assets, Auware leaves no trace. Your store reverts to its exact pre-installation state.

For agencies, this design philosophy is critical. Your clients trust you to maintain the integrity of their stores. An app that overwrites theme code or introduces conflicts can damage performance, cost you time, and erode that trust. Auware was built with agencies in mind, so we intentionally avoid those risks. You can confidently install and use Auware knowing that your existing customizations are safe.

In short, Auware will not blow up your Shopify theme or disrupt the customizations you have made. It operates separately from your live pages, relies on Shopify-native methods, and leaves your store untouched. Your hard work stays intact, while Auware adds a powerful new layer of audience-specific landing pages to your marketing toolkit.
