When you delete your Auware account, all campaign data tied to your account is permanently removed. This includes connected stores, campaign records, user profiles, and all associated performance metrics. Once deleted, this information cannot be recovered. We designed the system this way to respect your ownership of data and to ensure that nothing is kept longer than it needs to be.
It is important to clarify what this means in practice. Any performance reporting inside Auware, such as campaign impressions, clicks, or conversions, will be erased when the account is deleted.
While campaign data is deleted, Auware does maintain a permanent audit log of platform activity. This log is separate from campaign metrics and does not contain performance data, customer information, or store-level reporting. Instead, it is a record of system events such as “Invite User,” “Publish Campaign,” or “Delete Store.” These logs exist for compliance and security purposes, and they are never removed. They provide a transparent trail of actions taken within the platform, which helps us maintain accountability and protect against misuse.
For agencies, this distinction is important. Your client performance data - stores, campaigns, and metrics - are yours, and they are deleted when you leave. The audit log, however, is part of the platform itself and remains as a permanent record of actions. Because this log contains no personally identifiable information or customer data, it poses no compliance risk to you or your clients.
We take a minimalist approach to data storage. By deleting campaign data upon account closure, we reduce the chance of lingering information creating privacy or security concerns. At the same time, keeping audit logs ensures that the platform maintains integrity and accountability across all users. This balance helps agencies trust that Auware is both safe with sensitive data and transparent about platform usage.
In short, deleting your Auware account permanently erases all store connections, campaigns, users, and metrics, while a non-personal audit log of platform actions is retained for security and compliance.
